Luther Warren, viola (Boston, MA), has been featured at such festivals as Perlman Music Program’s Chamber Music Workshop, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival, Taos School of Music, the International Holland Music Sessions, and Domaine Forget International Music Festival. He has collaborated in performance with such artists as David Shifrin, Colin Carr, Ida Kavafian, Steven Tenenbom, Atar Arad, and Hsin-Yun Huang. He has also acted as a regular substitute violist for the Borromeo String Quartet. Luther is passionate about new music, and has worked directly with living composers such as Joan Tower, Aaron Jay Kernis, Lior Navok, and Kati Agocs performing new and recent works. As an educator, Luther maintains a private studio and serves as violin and viola instructor for Merrimack College. Luther holds degrees from the New England Conservatory where he studied with Donald Weilerstein and Miriam Fried.
