Nathan Amaral, violin (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, KKL at Lucerne Festival and the Berlin Philharmonie. He has been awarded first and special prizes in numerous national and international competitions including the Paul Roczek Award at Mozarteum Salzburg, Wiener Klassik Preis in Vienna, CIMA International Competition, Weimar international competition, Waslau Borkowski violin competition, the Eleazar de Carvalho competition and the Ruggero Ricci violin competition. Nathan has been invited to perform over the years at the Yellow Barn music festival, OCM Trame Sonore Mantova, Open Chamber Music (IMS Prussia Cove), Krzyzowa Music festival, Kaleidoscope chamber collective, and Ilumina Festival. His music collaborations include performances with Donald Weilerstein, Hilary Hahn, Anthony Marwood, Yura Lee, Tai Murray, Jennifer Stumm, Viviane Hagner and Kolja Blacher.
