Randall Goosby, violin (Memphis, TN), is a recipient of a BM ('18) and MM ('20) from The Juilliard School, where he studied with Catherine Cho, Laurie Smukler, Donald Weilerstein, and Itzhak Perlman, as a proud recipient of a Kovner Fellowship. Randall began his violin studies at age 7, made his Carnegie Hall debut at age 13, and has since made solo appearances with several major orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, and New World Symphony. Randall was also a prize winner of the 2018 Sphinx Competition, the 2018 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, and is a recipient of a career advancement grant from the Bagby Foundation. Randall is a member of the Kila Quartet, which has coached with Roger Tapping as a part of Juilliard's Honors Chamber Music program. The quartet has performed on Alice Tully Hall's "Wednesdays at One" series, WQXR's "Midday Masterpieces" series, and at the 2019 Robert Mann String Quartet Institute. In addition to performing, Randall is passionate about sharing his love for music, and has participated in community engagement programs for public schools, children’s hospitals, and music programs across the country. Randall plays on a 1735 Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù violin, on generous loan from the Stradivari Society.
