Yasmina Spiegelberg, clarinet (Lausanne, Switzerland), is the laureate of solo international and national competitions and is an Ensemble Forward Grantee through Chamber Music America. Based in NYC, she is a current Fellow at Ensemble Connect and appears in renowned halls internationally, such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Carnegie Hall. Yasmina is guest soloist with the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, the Nomad Symphony Orchestra, and the String Ensemble Rapsodia, and collaborates with conductors such as David Lockington, Stefan Asbury, and Franck Ollu. Her chamber music collaborations include Hila Plitmann, Peter Frankl and members of the Brentano and Juilliard String Quartets. Passionate about contemporary music, she collaborates with composers Steve Reich, Reena Esmail, and Liza Lim. She performs in esteemed concert series in Los Angeles, such as Dilijan, Music In The Mansion and LACMA Sunday’s Live. Yasmina appears at world-famous festivals such as International Ensemble Modern Academy and was a Residency Artist at Yellowbarn. She is broadcasted live as a soloist on national radio and recorded an album of concertos for clarinet and orchestra. Yasmina holds a B.M. from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, a M.M. in Performance from the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, and an Artist Diploma from USC with Professor Yehuda Gilad.
